Obituary
GOSHEN -- Patti Stabler, 73, of Goshen, formerly of Elkhart, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Thursday (May 5, 2011) at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Patti Rose Springer on Nov. 9, 1937, in Elkhart, the daughter of William Edwin and Lela Ellen (Stauffer) Springer. On Nov. 10, 1963, she married Rollo W. Stabler, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1991.
Surviving is her daughter, Peggi (Derek) Fellows of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Charlotte and Matthew Fellows.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her only sister, Doreen Springer Frost.
Patti graduated from Elkhart High School in 1956. She was a paraprofessional aide who worked for Elkhart Community Schools at Mary Feeser Elementary School for 26 years before retiring in 2003.
She was a member of Adamsville Church of God in Elkhart.
A memorial celebration of Patti's life will be held at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart at 6 p.m. Monday, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Pastor Rob Meckley of the Adamsville Road Church of God will officiate. In accordance with Patti's wishes, cremation has taken place and the burial will be at Brown Cemetery in Millersburg at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Red Cross.
