Patricia Sue
Williams
March 30, 1987 – May 24, 2026
Mrs. Patricia Sue “Trishy” Williams, 39, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly within the familiar comfort of her own home on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 3:20 a.m. Her passing leaves behind a silence far too large for the vibrant, loving, and spirited woman who filled so many lives with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Born on March 30, 1987, in Berrien Center, Michigan, Trishy was the cherished daughter of Dawn R. (McKimmey) Dickson of Palmetto, Florida and Patrick B. Dickson of Gulfport, Florida. Though her life was far shorter than anyone who loved her could have imagined, she packed those years with fierce devotion to family, countless memories, and a personality that could brighten even the heaviest of days.
Above every title she ever held, Trishy’s favorite and most treasured role was simply “Mom.” Her daughters, Baylee M. (Jose Martinez) Williams and Alexis M. Williams, both of Elkhart, were the center of her universe. She poured her heart into raising them, guiding them, encouraging them, and loving them with a tenderness that never wavered. Becoming “Grandma” only expanded that joy. Her grandsons, Mateo and Elian Martinez, were adored beyond measure, and there was hardly a conversation that did not eventually circle back to stories, photos, or proud grandmotherly bragging.
Trishy understood the beauty found in ordinary moments. She was a homemaker by choice and by heart, creating a home filled with comfort, laughter, good food, and the reassuring feeling that someone always cared. She had a nurturing spirit that naturally drew people toward her. Friends and family alike knew that a visit with Trishy usually included coffee, conversation, plenty of laughter, and probably a recommendation for a garage sale she thought you absolutely needed to visit.
She had the soul of a beach girl no matter where she lived. Water was her happy place. Whether it was the sound of waves, the warmth of the sand beneath her feet, a fishing pole in her hands, or simply soaking up the sunshine, Trishy felt most alive outdoors. She was a proud sun worshipper who never turned down an opportunity to lounge in the warmth of summer with country music playing nearby.
Trishy found joy in life’s simple pleasures and made an art form out of bargain hunting. She loved garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, and little roadside shops where treasures waited to be discovered. Few people could stretch a dollar quite like she could, and she wore that skill like a badge of honor. She could proudly come home with three bags of decorations, a lamp, two shirts, and somehow still announce, “You won’t believe what I paid for all this.”
She also had a green thumb that could bring nearly anything to life. Flowers bloomed brighter under her care, tomatoes flourished in her gardens, and potted plants lined her spaces with color and personality. Much like the gardens she loved so dearly, Trishy herself brought beauty and growth wherever she went.
She enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, scrapbooking and watching motocross and racing of all kinds. Loud engines, fast laps, and competitive sports always captured her attention. When she wasn’t clipping and saving memories, outdoors in the sunshine or bargain hunting, she could often be found cheering on the Chicago Cubs or passionately rooting for Notre Dame football. Win or lose, she stayed loyal.
Trishy also loved feeling beautiful. She enjoyed getting her hair done, dressing nicely, and presenting herself with confidence and pride. She believed there was nothing wrong with wanting to look good while living life fully.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Baylee and Alexis; her grandchildren, Mateo and Elian; her parents, Patrick and Dawn; her brother, Eric L. (Ashley) Snyder of Palmetto, Florida; her sister, Casey Snyder of Elkhart; her beloved grandmother, “Grammie” Betty McKimmey of Palmetto; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts, including her very close childhood friend Nicole Horras and her aunt Kellie Harris, with whom she shares a birthday. She also leaves behind Kobe, her loyal brindle pitty mix, and Kitty the cat, both of whom are reportedly handling matters with understandable confusion and a healthy amount of attitude.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Robert “Grampie” McKimmey.
A celebration of Trishy’s life will be held at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elkhart on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Friends may call one hour prior to services beginning at 4:00 p.m., and again following the service at 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Reverend Jeremy Sarber will officiate. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
In honor of Trishy’s memory, memorial donations may be made to any local women’s shelter of one’s choosing — a meaningful way to celebrate the caring, protective, and loving spirit she carried throughout her life.
Though her story ended far too soon, the love that Trishy gave so freely will continue to ripple through the lives of those who knew her. She will be remembered for her laughter, her fierce love for family, her sunny spirit, her resilience, and her remarkable ability to make a house feel like home.
