IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
Watchorn Marcus
September 22, 1956 – May 17, 2007
She was born Sept. 22, 1956, in Norfolk, to Harold and Shirley (Fox) Watchorn. On Oct. 4, 1986, she married Kevin Marcus Jr. in Elkhart.
He survives at home in Woodbridge, along with their three daughters, Megan, Alexa and Mia. She is also survived by her parents, Harold and Shirley Watchorn of Cassopolis, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Brian (Kim) Williamson of Cassopolis and Mrs. David (Deb) Detwiler of Bristol, Ind.; two brothers, Rick (Dody) Watchorn and Jerry (Cookie) Watchorn, both of Elkhart, as well as her mother-in-law, Inge Marcus of Sonnefeld, Germany; and a sister-in-law, Jenell Danner of Fort Collins, Colo.
Pat spent most of her youth growing up in Elkhart. In 1982, she graduated from Purdue University, after which she worked at Bashor Children's Home in Goshen, Ind. Shortly after her marriage in 1986 to Kevin, she became a civilian employee for the United States Navy, where she was an acquisition intern. By 1990, she was a contract specialist and then returned to Elkhart for a brief period in 2001. She returned to her purchasing career with the Navy in 2004 and remained there until her illness required her early retirement.
Her wishes were that her remains be returned to Elkhart, where Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart, will handle local arrangements. Visitation will be at Billings from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007. The funeral will then be at Billings as well at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. The Rev. Carl Henry of Northside Baptist Church and her uncle, Stan Stankovich, will officiate. Cremation will follow, with burial planned for a later date. Mount Castle Funeral Home of Dale City handled flight arrangements from Virginia.

Pat was a loving and devoted mother, and was seen as "walking sunshine" by her friends and family. Always warm and bright, she tried to be honest, sincere and kindhearted to all. She passed with the same grace, dignity and honor that she lived her life, and will be missed by all.
Please join the family in saying farewell to this truly lovely lady.
