IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia A.
Snead
October 19, 1942 – September 21, 2021
On Tuesday September 21, 2021, our beautiful, loving mother Patricia Snead 78 of Elkhart went to be with her heavenly Father. Patricia was surrounded, cherished, and cared for by her children throughout her 9-month battle (Marie Drake, Daniel Snead, Mary Snead, and Sandra Ford. She lived at Sandra Ford's home for 6 months where she battled injuries sustained from a rehabilitation center.) Patricia's family was her prize possession, when I asked her why she wanted to continue to live in the pain she was suffering she answered, "I am not afraid to die, I just have a wonderful family and I love them so much I just want to be with them as long as I can." Patricia raised 5 children mostly on her own, and we always felt loved and knew that we were the center of her life.
Patricia was born in Washington DC and lived half a block from the nation's capital, she was raised by her grandmother Anna Marie Raymond. Her grandmother passed away when she was 13, so she moved to Goshen and attended Goshen school. Patricia worked as car hop at Mullets Drive In where she met her husband, they married in the Catholic Church September 19, 1959. Patricia was a parishioner of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Patricia loved to get dressed up in flashy clothing, go to big cities, shopping, rock n roll and dining out. Above all, she loved to celebrate and gather every holiday with her family which consisted of 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. Patricia's second love in her life was a rock star husband whether he knew it or not Axl Rose of Guns N Roses. She was a social butterfly and loved by an innumerable number of people of all ages and walks of life. Her uplifting and happy spirit blessed all who came in contact with her. Patricia felt it was her calling in life to make people happy, and no matter how much pain she suffered she still managed to make everyone laugh and smile.
Patricia was preceded in death by; her husband Roger Lee Snead, her son Roger Edward Snead, and granddaughter Ashley Hamilton, her grandmother Anna Marie Raymond, her mother Viviane Jaclyn Browning her father Lanton Joseph Tippins. She is survived by; her children Sandra Ford of Bristol, Marie (Bryan) Drake of Elkhart, Daniel Snead of Elkhart, and Mary Snead of Goshen, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 half sisters, Sharon Browning Burden of Mishawaka, Sharon Tippins of Joshua, Texas, Gidget Vannest Lupo of Clearwater, Florida and 1 half brother Gary Tippins of Cleburne, Texas.
Words cannot express the sorrow and loss we are feeling. She will be loved and missed every day.
