EDWARDSURG, Mich. — Patricia J. "Patsy" Peare, 83, of Edwardsburg, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at the home of her nephew after a brief illness.
She was born in Adamsville on July 25, 1928, to the late William and Alda (Meiser) Meiser. She later married J.R. "Jerry" Peare in 1947. He passed away in 1992 in Adamsville.
Surviving are a half sister, Genevieve (Bill) Stack; nephew Bruce (Sue) Stack; niece Julia Stack; and great-nephew Kevin Stack, all of Edwardsburg; and a cousin, Lucretia Powell of Harrisonburg, Va.
Stepbrother Weston Persing and stepsister Alma Poulos preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at the Jehovah's Witnesses North Kingdom Hall, 1921 Jeanwood Drive, Elkhart, Ind., with brother Robert "Bob" Blue officiating. Burial has taken place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
Patsy retired as an executive secretary for Miles Laboratories after many years and was an avid gardener.
Memorials may go to Heartland Hospice of Kalamazoo.
