Obituary
ELKHART — Patricia J. "Patsy" (Wedge) Schwab, 86, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, at her residence.
She was born March 18, 1930, in Chicago, to the late Byron and Marie (Healy) Wedge.
On Oct. 14, 1950, she married William G. "Bill" Schwab in Bristol. He preceded her in death June 14, 2016.
Survivors include one daughter, Lee Ann (Stanley) Hoover of Elkhart; two sons, Michael (Patricia Tomlinson) Schwab of Elkhart and Timothy Schwab of Ashville, N.C.; one sister, Dolores "Gus" (Robert) Eash of Fort Wayne; one brother, Ronald Wedge of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Schwab; one grandson, Clayton Schwab; and five brothers, Duke, Richard "Dickie", Patrick, John and Terry Wedge.
In addition to being a loving homemaker, Patsy was an accomplished artist and taught art for many years.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Inurnment will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Council on Aging of Elkhart County in memory of Patsy.
