IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
"Pat" Twitchell
January 28, 1942 – November 24, 2023
Ms. Patricia Ann "Pat" Twitchell, 81, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 1:35 am at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
She was born in Elkhart on January 28, 1942 to the late Charles and Aline (Meyer) Sanders. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Kent A. Twitchell, whom she married in 1962 and passed away in Elkhart in 1986.
Surviving Pat is her son Brent C. (Angela) Twitchell and daughter Michelle L. Twitchell, both of Elkhart, as well as several friends and acquaintances.
In accordance with her wishes, Pat is to be laid to rest at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11:00 am during a brief graveside service there. Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart have been assisting the family with the arrangements.
Pat was a homemaker for many years and just loved the simple things that life provided for her. To Pat, a simple laugh was the cure-all to end all, as she could find humor in just about every situation and knew that a good laugh could re-adjust about any mood.
She had several birds, cats and dogs over the years and enjoyed their company immensely. She also had quite an affinity for chocolate and had a very close and meaningful relationship with Dove Ice Cream Bars.
All in all, Pat was a grateful lady that dearly loved and appreciated her children. Nothing made her happier than to have her family around her. Her children remember her as being intelligent, strong-willed and always positive, which was a huge inspiration for them. They would reminisce that their mom had been "saved" back in the 1970's, and that watershed moment served as the catalyst that would then lead her children to Christ as well. Well done, thy good and faithful servant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the charity of one's choice.
