ELKHART — Patricia Ann Kauffman, 82, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 23, 1935, in Elkhart to Lester E. and Mary Elizabeth (Goudy) Hosler.

She married Abraham H. Kauffman on Aug. 31, 1964 in North Carolina; He died on June 14, 1978.

Surviving are her children, daughters, Kimberly S. Kauffman, Shirley K. Kauffman and son Joseph E. (Kristy) Kauffman; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Perry, Alissa ( Clent )Hollin , Emily, Nicholas and Ryan Kauffman, 3 great grandchildren, Milani, Layla Hollin, and Adrianna Mann, with another on the way; sister, Carole (Patrick) Cudahy and brother Thomas E. (Patricia) Hosler.

In addition to her parents, and husband, brothers, Richard and Robert Hosler and a granddaughter Amy Mann preceded her in death.

Patricia formerly worked as cook and kitchen manager for Joe & Eddie's Restaurant, which became The Bulldog, both at Bulldog Crossing in Elkhart, retiring after many years. She also worked at Home Instead Senior Care. Patricia was of the Catholic faith.

She enjoyed reading romance novels, working crossword puzzles and working in her yard and garden.

Visitation for Patricia will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, also at Billings. Rev. Jason Freiburger will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery.
