ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Patricia "Pati" Graves Darling, 63, of Rocky Mount, passed away following an extended illness at the Greenville, N.C. Hospice House Friday, Aug. 19.
She was born in Lynchburg, S.C., Sept. 4, 1952, to the late Cecil and Florence (Taylor) Moore.
She married Gene Curtis Graves, who precedes her in death, and later married Wallace C. "Wally" Darling, who survives her in Elkhart.
Also surviving are her children, G. Curtis Graves Jr., E. Patrick Graves, J. Steven (Abbey) Graves and Gerald (Cindy) Darling; grandchildren Alex, Hailey and Gavin Graves; and her sister, Theresa Moore Blackwell.
A memorial will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Billings Funeral Home, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Pastor Rick Pirtle of Riverview General Baptist Church of Elkhart will officiate. A private service will be in Greenville at a later date.
Pati worked for many years at Proctor & Gamble, and was active in her church.
