Obituary

Pacino C. Ruiz, 34, of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 10, 2021. He was born on February 16, 1987, in Newark, NJ to Carlos (Toni) and Colleen (Whiteaker) Ruiz, who both survive him in Elkhart County.

Pacino is also survived by his sisters, Chelly Quinones, Nancy Quinones, Jaubre Quinones, and Chelsea Naida Ruiz; nieces and nephews, Justin Quinones, Daminon and Dante Quinones, Covington Quinones, Tessa Quinones, and Brooklyn Quinones, Tamaurse A. Ruiz-Goins, Lilyanna N. Ruiz-Goins, Dezmend E. Ruiz-Goins, and KCarlique P. Ruiz-Goins, and Luke Quinones; uncles, Hector (Carmen) Ruiz, Moises (Carmen) Ruiz, Joel (Kelly) Baer, Walter Baer, and Shawn Baer; aunts, Aileen and Gina (Dennis) Cates; and a host of cousins. He is preceded in death by his niece, Alexis.

Family and friends are called to gather on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. In accordance with his family's wishes, Pacino will be cremated following his services.

Pacino was a hardworking man who worked for Lippert Components for 12 years as a supervisor for the welding department. He had a big heart and would always put others needs before his own. Whenever he smiled, his eyes seemed to smile with him and always gave him a welcoming presence. Pacino enjoyed being around people and had made many friends over the years. He was an athlete who was a boxer and played basketball in high school and later would continue to workout alongside his father at the local gym on a regular basis. Pacino was an excellent woodworker and made tables alongside his sister, Naida. He was an exceptional and gifted video gamer as well and won a tournament at the YMCA for his skills. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
