ELKHART — Orlando Snorden, 90, of Elkhart, passed away Sept. 2 in his residence.
He was born Oct. 9, 1924, in Indianapolis, to William and Lillian (Hopper) Snorden.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine M. (Prior) Snorden; daughter Claudia Banks of Milwaukee; son Bryan (Karen) Snowdon of Rocky Point, N.C.; three grandchildren, Gwydion (Kendra) Snowdon of Bristol, Gaylon Snowdon and Jacob Wegner of Kentucky; great-grandson Ollie Lee Banks and several other great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
Orlando served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He and his wife were owners of a painting and decorating business for several years. He was later employed with Associated Spring prior to his retirement. He was a member of North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, memorial service at the North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1921 Jeanwood Drive, Elkhart. Alan Hawkins will officiate.
Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart is entrusted with arrangements.
