Obituary
Onnie M. McIntosh, 80, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully at 4:58 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25, at the Greenleaf Living Center in Elkhart following an extended illness.
She was born May 31, 1935, in Harrisburg, Ark., to the late Onnie and Altie (Arnold) Hamilton. She married Richard D. McIntosh in Benton Harbor, Mich., in 1954. He preceded her in death, along with children Gary McIntosh and Teresa Bartalone, and brothers Johnny and Glen Hamilton.
Surviving are daughter D. Michele McIntosh of Mishawaka; sister Mary (Jim) Mogck of Santa Rosa, Calif.; brothers Jess (Lois), Clifford (Becky) and William Hamilton, all of Elkhart; grandchildren Chad (Allison) Bartalone of South Bend and Jeremy Bartalone of Coloma, Mich.; and three great-grandchildren.
Onnie worked nearly 25 years at Kaywood Mfg. in Benton Harbor, retiring in 1990. She attended the Lifegate Baptist Church there and enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and hosting large family reunions.
In accordance to Onnie's wishes, cremation has taken place and her remains will be buried at the North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma during a private ceremony to be set at a later time.
Memorials may be given to the Lifegate Baptist Church.
