Onalee M. Wise, 92, of Union, MI, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on Thursday, April 11, 1929, on a fainting couch in South Bend, Indiana. At the age of 18 she met her future husband, Levi Wise on a double date with her girlfriend, Shirley Kane and her boyfriend, Jack Kiner. Six months later, on July 9, 1947, they were Mr. and Mrs. Levi built their home on Kessington Road on the land that his father, Ben, gave him. It was there that they began their life together.

They had three daughters and a son, Sandra (Bill) Heath, Jeanne (Bill) Russell, and Ed (Diana) Wise. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chari Keen, Rene (Mike) Buckley, Ben (Heather) Heath, John (Penny) and Kurt (Jamie) Russell, Jim Wise, Julie Wise, Kari Norment, Katie Lott, and Ryan Lott; 15 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; brothers, Tom and Danny Gentry. Onalee is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Levi; Daughter, Patti Lott, sister Shirley Tackett and brothers, Jack and Jerry Gentry.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at her place of fellowship, Kessington Community Church, 70200 Kessington Rd, Edwardsburg, MI 49112 from 10-11 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Steele officiating. A graveside service will follow at Kessington Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Levi. Memorial donations may be given to Kessington Community Church in her memory. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart, IN is entrusted with Onalee's services.
