ELKHART — Norman S. "Norm" Osborne Sr., 77, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, in his residence.
He was born July 9, 1937, in Elkhart to Robert J. and Ruth E. (Tiger) Osborne.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Melba F. Osborne of Elkhart; four sons, Norman S. Osborne Jr. and Jim Osborne, both of Bluffton, Ohio, and Mike (Jackie) Sarter and David (Glenda) Sarter, both of Phoenix; three brothers, Timothy Osborne of Elkhart, Eugene Osborne of Goshen and John Osborne of Sydney, Australia; one sister, Dawn Osborne of South Bend; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Osborne; one daughter, Karen Magers; two brothers, Douglas and David Osborne; one sister, Louise Scoville; and two grandchildren.
Norm proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He was employed as a dental lab technician for several years prior to his retirement.
Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services.
