ELKHART -- Norman F. "Norm" Paulson, 77, of Elkhart, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born July 9, 1933, in Elkhart, to Edgar and Grace (Gardner) Paulson, who preceded him in death, along with his wife, Nancy, and several siblings.
Surviving are daughters Tessa M. Smith of Elkhart, Annette (Joe) Fritsche of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Debra J. (Kerry) Rummel of Bristol; a son, Rodney R. Smith of Elkhart; two brothers, Edgar (Beverly) Paulson of Iowa and Earl (Linda) Paulson of Bristol; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011. There will be one hour of visitation on Thursday as well. Pastor Dale Turner will officiate and burial will follow in Adamsville Cemetery, Adamsville, Mich.
Norm worked at the Excel Corp in Elkhart for 27 years and then at Goshen Rubber Corp. for another 17 years, retiring in 1998.
Memorials may be given to the American Kidney Foundation.
