ELKHART — Norman Albert Baer Jr., 50, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, June 30, at Kindred Hospital Northern Indiana in Mishawaka.
He was born May 9, 1964, in Orlando, Fla., to Norman A. Baer Sr. and Minnie L. (Reynolds) Baer.
Survivors include three daughters, Cassie (Robert) Hendricks of Lawrenceburg, Ky., Amy (Rickey) Phillips of Dowagiac, Mich., and Amber (James) Phillips of Elkhart; one sister, Norma (Stephen) Richey of Palm Bay, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, Chelsea, Nevaeh, Isaiah, James Jr., Brayden, Rose and Mariah Phillips, Danyol Everett, Grethel, Stephen, Sergio, Katelyn, Savannah and Christian Hendricks; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Norman was previously employed with Lippert Components Inc. for several years.
Norman enjoyed spending time camping, hunting, fishing and working on cars. He was known to be able to work on anything and everything. He was always happy being able to help others in need.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 7, at Ever Rest Memorial Park in Logansport. The Rev. Michael Toothman will officiate.
