Obituary
ELKHART — Norma "Jean" Whitt, 87, residing at Riverside Village, passed away Monday afternoon, Jan. 2, at her residence.
Jean was born Nov. 22, 1929, the daughter of Carl and Gladys (Granger) Hamlet.
She married Don Whitt. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter Teri (Fred) Friedauer; four grandchildren, Ryan (Carrie) Friedauer, Troy Larimer, Scot (Valerie) Housour, Eric Walters; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren survive as well.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Darla Housour in October 2001.
Jean formerly worked at CTS, E.R. Carpenter and Montgomery Ward.
She was an Elkhart High School graduate and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and was active in the Republican Party.
She enjoyed doing word searches and antiquing.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen.
Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
