Norma Jean Ravenscroft-Bailey, 92, of Elkhart went Home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at her home.

Jean was born in Elkhart, IN on December 30, 1933 to the late, William Stilwell and Henrietta (Gaines) Stilwell.

She is preceded in death by her first husband of 57 years, Richard Ravenscroft and most recently her second husband, Thomas Bailey. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Maurer Edwards and sister, Delores Albaugh.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Judy (Patrick) Taber of Elkhart; grandchildren, Justin (Katlyn) Taber, Carie (Antonio) Sims, Stephanie Taber, Samantha Taber, Brian (Denise) Maurer and Jason (Jennifer) Maurer; and 7 great grandchildren.

Jean graduated from Elkhart High School and worked at Miles laboratory many years. She spent much of her life working alongside her husband, Richard, as a transportation escort. Affectionately known as “Stormy,” she was a longtime member of New Creation Fellowship and a devoted follower of Christ.

Jean enjoyed fishing, playing Euchre, dining out, and especially spending time with family. She loved hosting family gatherings and preparing meals that brought everyone together. Known for her kind and helping spirit, Jean was always willing to assist those in need and will be remembered for her faith, generosity, and love for others.

There will be no formal services for Jean. She will be laid to rest at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart beside husband, Richard at a later date.
