She was born Nov. 26, 1947, in Syracuse to the late Lester and Geraldine (Garner) Stewart.

She is survived by three sons, Brian Ganshorn, Tony Ponciano, both of Elkhart, and Jeremy (Bobbie Jo) Gordon of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; two daughters, Angela Ganshorn and Gabrielle Ponciano, both of Elkhart; 16 grandchildren; and her companion, Chuck Reaves of South Bend.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 7 p.m. Friday Celebration of Life service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Cremation has taken place.

Ms. Ponciano was a homemaker and formerly worked at United Shade in Elkhart. She was a 1966 graduate of Syracuse High School and enjoyed classic cars, swap meets, gardening, hanging out on the beach, and spending time with her two dogs.
