ELKHART: Norma Jean Brown, 82, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a 7 year battle with dementia. She was born on Oct. 25, 1936 in Cleveland. Surviving are her children; Michael (Leenetric) Brown, Hubert (Cheryle) Brown, Glenn Mason, Marshall Harper, Aaron Harper, Angela (Ben) Roby, Shela (Willie B.) Jackson, Keith Harper, Linda Harper; also many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Her mother Jessie Mae Brown, children Joyce M. Brown, Linda Brown, David Brown, sister Grace McMurry and brother Robert Brown preceded her in death.

Norma retired from the Holiday Inn of Elkhart, where she worked as a room attendant for many years. She embraced life, and never met a stranger. She loved to cook and enjoyed family gatherings, and also her plants.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Noon at Agape Missionary Baptist Church, 248 W. Wolf Ave. Visitation is 1 hour prior to service. Rev. Dr. Dannell Brown will officiate. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elkhart.
