ELKHART — Nola "Jean" Fitch, 53, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 5, 1963, in Traverse City, Mich., to Dale E. and Eleanor P. (Sharnowski) Williams.
Survivors include her husband, John S. Fitch Sr.; mother Eleanor P. Williams of Traverse City; four children, Chasity (Dave) Enyeart of Mishawaka, Aron (Natasha) Farrell of Bristol, John Fitch Jr. of South Bend and Cheyanna Fitch of Elkhart; four sisters, Mary Van Order of Kalamazoo, Mich., Karen Mabie of Union, Mich., Tricia Jones of Shipshewana and Helen (Eric) Lutson of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Delaney, Chloe, Helaena and Ella Sue; and 30 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Lee Sleeper.
Jean was employed as an industrial sewing machine operator for several years.
She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and reading. She loved being surrounded by her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the 6 p.m. celebration of life service Friday, Aug. 26, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
