IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nicholas David
"Nick" Ermis
February 3, 1983 – November 22, 2025
Nicholas David Ermis (Nick) was born on February 3, 1983 to David and Janet (Hardman) Ermis in Elkhart Indiana. He passed away at home, in Goshen, on November 22, 2025 when Jesus called him to heaven.
Nick will be sorely missed by his wife, Angelina Ram, his parents, his sister, Andi Ermis, his stepsons, Dan Ram, Minh Ram, Thye Ram and Jett Ram. He is a part of a large family of 8 aunts, 8 uncles, and many cousins who will miss his wonderful sense of humor. He also leaves behind his 4 legged pups Bella and Lisey.
Nick was met in heaven by both sets of grandparents, Tom and Shirley Ermis, Tom and Lois Hardman, and his cousin, Sammy Heckman. Great-grandpa John Biggs can finally share that joke with Nick.
As a 2001 graduate of Memorial High school in Elkhart he also went to the Career Center for Auto Cad. His quick grasp of those type of computer skills were his entry into his career.
Nick was employed with Ingersoll-Rand as a Tooling Engineer, helping customers find what tools they needed and making sure they worked. He loved what he did.
Nick was a collector of baseball cards, always excited when he found a good one. He listened to books online as he drove between seeing customers. One of his favorite pod casters was Dax Shepards "Armchair Expert". He would often call and tell us when there was one we needed to listen to. He loved different genres of music and would send links to share with me, his mom. We will miss those texts and phone calls. Nick was a great hugger, too, and always said a goodbye with "I love you".
Nick and Angelina loved going on vacations, especially to Hilton Head and the Smokies Mountains. Any place where there was water and sunrises was a good destination.
As a lifetime member his celebration of life will be at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1133 Kilbourn St., Elkhart on Friday, November 28. Visitation will be from 10-11 with a service at 11. Lunch will be served afterwards. Billings Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Per Nick's wishes he will be cremated.
Memorials made be directed to Church Community Service, Elkhart or to Augustana's Food Pantry.
