She was born June 8, 1922, in Caneyville, Ky., to Robert and Suda (Taylor) Swift. She married Ernest L. LaMar on Dec. 24, 1941.

He survives, along with a daughter, Lisa (Thomas) Adams of Elkhart; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Raymond) Smith of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Eli (Kelly) Adams of Elkhart; and three great-grandchildren, Justice and Nathan Smith, and Emma Grace Adams. A son, Jeff LaMar, preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The family will conduct a service following visitation. Burial will be Tuesday in Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.

Mrs. LaMar was retired as a secretary at George Washington High School in Indianapolis. She was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, Indianapolis, and Indiana Central Business College. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Bridgeport, Ind.
