ELKHART — Nancy L. VonDoehren, 65, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, in her home.
She was born Nov. 28, 1947, in Newark, N.J., to Joseph W. and Frances Grimm.
Surviving are children, Stephanie (Steve) Clark and T. Bryan (Emily Ryman) VonDoehren, all of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Kenny, Alyssa, Rachel and Steven; five great-grandchildren, Kohen, Lily, Ameerah, Logan and Ameelia; and brother Joseph A. (Teresa) Grimm of Elkhart.
In addition to her parents, a beloved friend Tina Workman preceded her in death.
Nancy worked at EGH, Health Care Personnel, Family Services and Elkhart County Women's Shelter, where she worked for 25 years, retiring in 2004.
She enjoyed macramé, camping and yearly visits to the lake at Fox Wood Hills and going to Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Family and friends may gather from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Billings Funeral Home, where a prayer service will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Rev. Bill Sullivan will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in Rice Cemetery.
