Nancy Harriett VanPatten Blough, 82, of Shipshewana, IN passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 and joins her husband, Stephen Kent "Steve" Blough, 74, of Shipshewana, IN, who passed away before her.

Nancy is survived by her sons, James L. Clements Jr. and Christopher C. Clements; grandchildren, Sussudio Clements, Courtney Thomas, Erin Clements and Parker Clements; daughter in-law, Kristen Clements; daughter-in-law Pamela Clements; great granddaughter, Isabel Thomas; step grandchildren, Lovenia Gerardo, Anthony White, Aaliyah White and 2 step great grandchildren Liam Gerardo and Jonathan Gerardo. Steve is also survived by four sisters, Evon K. (James) Ward (Schumacher), Beverly J. Crussemeyer, Cassandra L. Smith, and Regina R. (Robert Schaefer Jr) Blough. Nancy is survived by her brother, William VanPatten Jr. They are both preceded in death by their parents and Steve's brothers, Lance A. Blough and Tracy O. Blough.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 10 a.m. to noon at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. A service will take place at noon with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating. Immediately following the service, they will be laid to rest at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, IN.

Nancy was an accomplished entrepreneur who was self-employed and opened Sugar and Spice Antiques Shop in Bristol, IN. A few years later, she opened the Shipshewana Flea Market, Daus Lake House bed and breakfast, and later became a music instructor for 30 years in Shipshewana. Steve and Nancy will be dearly missed by their loving family and community.
