IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy C.
Templeton
November 9, 1943 – March 11, 2021
Ms. Nancy C. Templeton, 77, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart following an extended but courageous battle with an extended illness on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 6:20 pm. She was born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey on November 9, 1943 to the late Clarence and Emma (Bidewell) Templeton.
Surviving is her daughter, Michele (Mike Taylor) Leers of Elkhart, brothers Jay (Pat), Tim (Bev) and Mark (Brenda) Templeton, all of Elkhart, and Bob Templeton of Osceola; sisters Sandra Penny of Elkhart and Judy Coleman of Goshen; grandchildren Tiffany Chavez, Alysha Leers, Lyndzi Bogue, Billy Leers and Austin Taylor, as well as 17 great grandchildren, a host of loving extended family and several special people that Nancy called "friend".
In accordance with her wishes, no immediate services have been planned and Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart has been assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Nancy spent most of her life as a production worker in several area manufacturing facilities, but also spent some time as a secretary and a nurse's aide as well. She absolutely loved children and always relished the times when her grands and great grands were around to visit, as family meant everything to her.
She attended Bethel United Methodist Church whenever she could, as her faith gave her great strength during her illness. She was also very talented artistically and enjoyed drawing and coloring. She loved butterflies of all kinds, doing all types of puzzles, and believe it or not, getting "glamor" photography shots when she was younger. Audrey Hepburn certainly would have been proud!
Memorial donations made in Nancy's name may be given to the Bethel United Methodist Church or to the charity of one's choice.
