ELKHART — Nancy Lee Schrock, 80, of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes at 9:25 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at the Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart.
She was born Jan. 17, 1936, in Goshen, to the late Leonard and Jessie (Brown) Cripe and later married Leo E. Schrock, in 1963, in Elkhart.
He also precedes her in death, along with sisters Dorothy Hefleng, Shirley Ott, Mary Krueger and Marlene Schneider.
Surviving are children Dawn (Rex) Magagnotti of Crown Point and Kevin (Leslie) Schrock of Bristol; brother Charles "Bud" Cripe of El Segundo, Calif.; sisters Linda Kauffman of Syracuse and Patricia (Steve) Wright of North Webster; and grandchildren Kathleen (Sean) Corbett of Chesterton, Alyssa (Kenneth) Rose of Burleson, Texas, Julia (Christopher Mihajlovich) Magagnotti of Crown Point and Zoe Schrock.
Nancy's life will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept 2, at Grace Bible Church, 1700 Edwardsburg Ave., Elkhart, with visitation beginning there at 2 p.m. Pastor Mike Fisher will officiate.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the services and Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
She worked nearly 20 years as an interior decorator for several area companies. She was a member of Grace Bible Church of Elkhart and loved to do volunteer work which included visiting elderly friends who were shut-ins. She also spent several years at Elkhart General Hospital serving as a Red Coat.
Memorial donations may be given to any local homeless shelter.
