Obituary

ELKHART - NANCY LEE NABICHT, 82, of Elkhart, passed away at home with her family present, Tuesday morning, January 31, 2017.
She was born September 14, 1934 to the late Gerald and Alice (Garner) Hoffhein in Goshen.
Nancy married Carl Joseph Nabicht on June 11, 1955 in St. Joseph County. Carl passed away on May 19, 2014.  Surviving is her son, Steven Nabicht and his wife, Kimberly Freel, of Elkhart; her brother, Paul Hoffhein and his wife, Eleanor Sommers, of Gainesville, Fla.
Nancy was a domestic diva all her life. She loved animals and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. In her younger years, she liked to do canvas cross stitch. Nancy was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Rosary Society, as well as a member of Daughters of Isabella.
A gathering of family and friends is Friday, February 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A parish vigil service will be prayed beginning at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1405 N. Main Street, Elkhart. The Reverend Jason Freiburger officiating. A graveside service will be Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
