ELKHART — Nancy J. Goodwin, 69, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at her Elkhart home after an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 16, 1942, to the late Alvin and Gretchen (Catron) Reames. She married Bill Goodwin in 1964 in Elkhart. He passed away in 1986 in Maryland.
Surviving are daughters Teresa (Bruce) Peach of Spring Hill, Fla., and Tammy Goodwin, Kim Terlap and Cindy Goodwin, all of Elkhart; son Jeffery Reames of Wabash; sisters Vickie (Don) Stebleton of Glendale, Ariz., and Judy Taylor, Sherry Reames and Sandra (Tim) Alwine, all of Elkhart; brothers C. Alvin (Barbara) Reames of Bristol and Ronald (Delores) and Steve (Dawn) Reames, both of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will begin at 4 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart, with visitation starting one hour prior at 3 p.m. Pastor David Klahr of Elkhart's New Creation Fellowship will officiate. Cremation will follow services, with burial at Prairie Street Cemetery scheduled for a later date.
Nancy worked at the Elkhart Holiday Inn at the Weston Plaza for more than 30 years as a housekeeper.
