Nancy Kay Davis, 92, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at her home.

Nancy was born on March 23, 1933 in Elkhart, IN to the late William and Helen (Gemberling) Gollmer. She married the love of her life, John Sheldon Davis in Elkhart. He passed away on April 6, 2003.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy is survived by her children, Cathy (Rick) Murray, Tim (Val) Davis and Susan (Tony) Cinelli; grandchildren, Kyle (Laurie) Patterson, Kacy (Eric Wyatt) Patterson, Michael Cinelli, Anthony (Brittany) Cinelli, Abbey (Aaaron) Bauman, Janean (Jacob) Ganser, Elizabeth (Sean) Berkey and Sharon (Jared) Bowlby; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren and cousin, Janis Fitzgerald.

Nancy was a hard worker. She was employed at Elkhart Community Schools for many years. She also worked in data processing at St. Joseph Valley Bank.  Both, Nancy and her husband, John were apartment managers at Northbrook Apartments. Throughout her years, she was a caretaker of a home in Arizona and California.

Nancy enjoyed a good game of Bridge and travelling with her husband to Arizona and Florida.

In her later years, she could be seen on her bicycle riding around Elkhart. She kept busy playing "Word with friends"  and watched old sitcoms.

Nancy was strong-willed and feisty. She was a social woman and loved visiting friends at the local nursing homes.

Nancy was open-minded and accepting of others.

Most of all, Nancy was the matriarch whom kept the family together. She enjoyed being around her swimming pool with her family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice for their care during a difficult time.

There will be an open house for friends and family at 166 Foster Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516 on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm.
