Obituary

Ms. Nanal Lou (Randolph) Goorhouse, 75, of Elkhart, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born at home in Hazard Co., KY, on September 12, 1949, to the late John Sr. and Stella Mae (McIntosh) Randolph. On November 13, 1976, Nanal married the love of her life, Fordyce Daniel "Dan" Goorhouse. He passed away on May 2, 2000.

Nanal is survived by her children, Lisa (Jaime) Rienks, and Jason (Jessica) Goorhouse; grandchildren, Daniel Rienks, Ryan Rienks, Jordan Bronkey-Purnell, Collin Weaver, Layne Oblinger, Ashley Goorhouse, Christopher Goorhouse, Megan Robertson, Emitt Goorhouse, and Skyler Goorhouse; 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Donnie Randolph; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her husband and parents, Nanal was preceded in death by her brothers, John Jr., Sam, Ernest, Billy, Jessie, and Jerry Randolph, and Clarence McIntosh; and sisters, Betty Smith, Bessie Sue Taylor, Geraldine Walls, and Ruby Randolph.

Services for Nanal will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Billings Funeral Home with visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM and a funeral service to immediately follow at 1 PM. Pastor Jeremy Sarber of Billings Funeral Home will officiate. Burial and graveside services will immediately follow the funeral at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, where Nanal will be reunited with Dan.

Nanal held various careers throughout her life, being a line supervisor with Saylor North RVs, then owning her daycare called Tiny Tots, to becoming the office manager for her husband's plumbing company. She also was active at many churches throughout the area along with viewing online daily sermons, always enjoying time spent with the Lord and sharing His love with others.

In her younger years, Nanal enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning, passing many recipes onto her loved ones that they still make today. She also enjoyed music and singing karaoke, bringing joy and fun into the lives of many. Most importantly, family was everything to Nanal and she cherished all her loved ones dearly, especially her dear brother, Donnie, who was a phenomenal sibling and caretaker to her until her last days.

Nanal will best be remembered as a witty, kind, caring, and giving soul who was also a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.

Memorial donations made in Nanal's honor can be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, a facility she was passionate about supporting throughout her adult life.
