Myron Devon Rose was born January 4, 1941, to John F. Rose and Wilma G. Rose.

He graduated from Elkhart High School in 1959 and began working at Miles Lab/Bayer on August 7, 1959, till his retirement on January 31, 2003. He was the Director of the Elkhart Distribution Center after 43 years of service. To provide more for his family, Myron also worked as a Manager at Pondarosa from 1975 to 1980.

Myron had one sister, Joan Lough (Robert) and three brothers, Billy Dale Mowery, Robert F. Rose, and Ronald H. Rose that have all passed.

He married his high school sweetheart Yvonne Regnier on August 29, 1960, and was married to her for 61 years before his wife passed.

Myron has two sons, John R. Rose (Stephanie) and David J. Rose (Lorene); three grandsons, Kyle (Johannah), Brent (Kelcie), and Matthew (Michelle); and one great granddaughter, Charlette Rae.

Myron was the coach of the Miles slow pitch softball team for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling and has been to all but three states. Myron enjoyed fishing and watching old cowboy movies. He was a Notre Dame fan and enjoyed watching girl's college softball and men's college baseball.

Myron's favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family and be included in all his son's parties where he was a friend to everyone he met. If you knew John and David, you got to know Myron.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 5-8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN. A service will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with an hour of visitation prior. Pastor Spencer Mielke will officiate the service as well as the graveside service which is to immediately follow at Rice Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Myron would appreciate any donations to be made at any children's hospital or Trinity Lutheran Church.
