Monty Mylo Smith, 58, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on July 24, 1964, in Mishawaka, to Jack and Martha (Overhulser) Smith.

Monty is survived by his sons, Adam (Tiffany) and Justin (Christina) Smith; grandchildren, Kayla, Addison, Olivia, Lyric, Tatum, Bryson, and Caden; mother, Martha Smith; sister, Karen Combs; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

Monty is preceded in death by his father, Jack Smith; brothers, Mark and Steve Smith; and brother-in-law, Frank Combs.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has been chosen and no immediate services are planned at this time. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.

Monty would attend Grace Point Apostolic Church with his sister, Karen. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, cooking for local bars, playing digital games, and watching football. He enjoyed any type of off-road vehicle or motorcycle and was proud of helping his brother with pulling RV's. Monty also had a special love for animals, especially when it came to dogs.

Monty, along with all the joy he shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts he touched throughout his life.
