ELKHART — Minnie Pearl Jackson, 69,of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, March 31, at Riverside Village in Elkhart following an extended illness.
She was born June 8, 1946, in Shelby, Miss., to the late Joe S. and Isabelle (Reed) Jackson.
Surviving are children, Lucretia (Mike) Rudd, Crystal (Willie) Kelleybrew, and Terri (Clinton) Campbell, and Sidney (Fabianne), Robert (Ethel) and Terry Jackson; sister Cora Jackson; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by four brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.
In accordance with Minnie's wishes, Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been entrusted with private cremation arrangements.
Minnie was a faithful and devout Christian who lived for making other people's days brighter. A homemaker most of her life, she served as a private residence caregiver as well. In her free time, she loved to play bingo and spend time with her family. She will be best remembered for always having a smile on her face.
