She was born July 9, 1921, in Dyersburg, Tenn., to West and Minnie Lane.

Miss Green is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, LaVerne Lily, Bert Barnes, Virginia Moore and Edith Bell; and three brothers, Bobby, Billy and James Lane.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 1 p.m. Wednesday funeral service at Canaan Baptist Church, 933 Fieldhouse Ave., Elkhart. The Rev. Theodis Hadley will officiate, with burial and graveside services following in Rice Cemetery. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is assisting with arrangements.

Miss Green was a housekeeper most of her life and helped families with elder care in their homes. She was a longtime member of Canaan Baptist Church. She enjoyed outings with her large extended family, cooking and reading.
