Mike E. Hatfield, 74, of Elkhart, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Ernestine Raclin House at the Center for Hospice.

Mike was born on July 4, 1947 in South Bend, IN to the late Edward L. and Pauline (Melser) Hatfield.

Mike is survived by his children, Robin (Mike) Truman and Michael B. Hatfield, both of Elkhart; grandchildren, Kirstin, Kody, Kane and Kloe; great grandson, Henry; and sister, Gale (Ronald) Bale of Florida.

Mike honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a local delivery driver for Lickwell Dairy and Allan Dairy (Prairie Farms) for many years. Mike enjoyed delivering milk to his customers until he became disabled. He was also a member of the Elkhart Eagles.

Mike enjoyed playing pool and chess in his younger years. He was a very proud and compassionate man and will be greatly missed by his family.

There will be no visitation or services for Mike at this time. Per his wishes, he will be cremated. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN is assisting the family.
