Michele "Mich" Jean Etchison-Kustron, 73, of Elkhart, passed away after a hard fought battle with illness on Sunday, July 5, 2020.

Michele was born on August 11, 1946 in Gary, IN to the late Charles Edward Etchison and Phyllis Jean Kahler-Etchison. She is preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Edward Etchison in 1982.

Michele is survived by her sons, John Kustron of Elkhart, Keith (Linda) Kustron of Goshen, Tim Kustron of Mesa, AZ, and David Kustron (Julie O'Hara) of Goshen; grandchildren, Brittney, Kaylie, Josh, Nick, Carter, Amanda, Madison; great grandson, Benny; and sister-in-law, Sharon Johnson of Ocala, FL.

Michele graduated in 1967 with a nursing degree from St. Mary Mercy Hospital School in Gary, IN. She was a registered nurse with Hubbard Hill, Oaklawn and Elkhart General Hospice. Michele enjoyed reading books, playing slot machines at the casino. She was known to have a strong "Faith" and throughout her life, she especially loved to take care of others.

A Gathering for family and friends of Michele will be on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514. A Celebration of Life Service Service will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home. Please follow proper social distancing procedures and bring a face mask for both the visitation and the service.
