Michael J. Smole Jr., 77, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Golden Living Center. Michael was born on September 9, 1942 in Elkhart. He attended St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church grade School and graduated in 1960 from South Bend St. Joseph High School. Michel worked as a group leader at CTS Corporation for 46 years. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he served in Germany and had the rank of SPC 4th. Class at the time of his honorable discharge.

He is survived by his only brother Patrick J. Smole; other family members, cousins and friends.

A mass intention in his honor will be at the August 1, 2020 5:00 pm mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

In honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen, with burial at a later date at St. Vincent Cemetery.
