Obituary
Michael C. "Mike" Merritt, 40, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, at home.
He was born Jan. 29, 1975, in Elkhart, to Steve and Julie (Connell) Merritt, both of Elkhart.
In addition to his parents, survivors include son Hayden Merritt, daughter Hannah Merritt, brother Shawn Merritt and granddaughter Laelina Merritt, all of Elkhart; sister Angela Merritt of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Mike was employed as a heating and cooling technician for many years.
A gathering of family and friends will be for two hours prior to the 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Jason Profitt will officiate.
Cremation will follow at Altera Cremation Services.
