CONSTANTINE, Mich. -- Michael J. Jones, 88, of Constantine, entered heaven Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011.
He was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Elkhart to Antonio "Tony" and Louise M. (Fortino) Jones.
He attended Elkhart schools, was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Selmer Company.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing, laughing and spending time with his family.
In 1958, he was honored at Elkhart's Centennial for bearing a striking similarity to Abraham Lincoln.
Mike is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Baldwin of Constantine; a sister, Mary (Robert) Warren of Elkhart; a brother, Jim DelGiudice of Los Angeles; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Carol Wilbur, along with two sisters, Eva (Charles) Roach and Carmeline Fortino preceded him in death.
Friends may call two hours prior to the 11 a.m. mass of Christian burial at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011. The Rev. Glenn Kohrman will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery.
