Obituary
Michael Leroy Helman, 58, of Cromwell, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital.
Michael was born on July 17, 1955 in Gary, Indiana to Virgil Leroy and Atta (Gipson) Helman. Surviving are his children, Michael Lee (Krystol Woods) Helman of Mo. and Jennifer (Scott) Davidson of Goshen; his mother Atta Helman of Cromwell; sister Teresa (Delmas) Davis of Goshen and twin brothers, Larry (Annette) Helman of Syracuse and Gary Helman of Cromwell; two aunts and several nieces and nephews survive him as well. His father Virgil L. Helman preceded him in death.
Michael was a self-employed painter and drywall specialist with Mike's Painting and Drywall. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, campfires and just being outdoors with his friends and family.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. pm on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Services celebrating Michael's life will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Carl Crise and his brother-in law Delmas Davis will officiate. Cremation will follow at Altera Cremation Services.
