He was born Dec. 18, 1968, in South Bend to Michael and Judith (Copenhaver) Ernsberger.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Judy and Ron Geary of Elkhart; one brother, Chad Ernsberger of Elkhart; his stepmother, Kay Ernsberger of Elkhart; his grandfather, Kenneth Ernsberger of Oconto, Wis.; his grandparents, Peg and Danny Yoder of Elkhart; and four stepsisters, Rita (Bob) Parrish of Edwardsburg, Rebecca (Leonard) Leach of Granger, and Sheila Cloud and Shelly (Major) Goodenough, both of Tulsa, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandmothers Dora Kershner and Agnes Ernsberger.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Saturday funeral service, all at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Keith McFarren will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.

Mr. Ernsberger formerly worked at Mercury Switch in Elkhart. He attended Elkhart Memorial High School and graduated from Goshen High School in 1988. He enjoyed music and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
