Obituary
ELKHART — Michael E. "Mike" McMannis, 33, of Elkhart, passed away at 11:13 a.m. Friday, May 2, following a motor vehicle accident.
He was born in Elkhart on Nov. 23, 1980, to Clifford McMannis of Elkhart and the late Anna (Kelley) McMannis.
In 2006 he married Frances D. "Fran" Parsons in Elkhart. She survives at home.
Also surviving are his children, Travis, Elizabeth, Kyle, Braden, Allison and Addison McMannis; brother Calvin (Junella) Kelley; sister Kellie Arnett; stepsister Beverly A. McMannis; uncles Greg Sherer and Charles McMannis; aunts Cindy Michaels, Laura Landon and Vicki Kelley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
No services have been scheduled and cremation is to take place.
Billings Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mike was a welder at MTEC of Elkhart for several years. He was also an avid NASCAR and racing enthusiast, and he raced for many years at the New Paris and Kalamazoo, Mich., speedways as No. 80 and No. 136. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Memorial donations may be given to the children in care of their uncle, Calvin Kelley.
