Obituary
UNION, Mich. — Michael Ryan Dalrymple, 38, of Union, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, in his home of natural causes.
Michael was born Sept. 23, 1977, in South Bend, Ind., to John L. Dalrymple and Connie (Petrauskas) Dalrymple.
Surviving are his son, Ashton Broc Schmidt of Elkhart, Ind.; mother Connie Dalrymple of Union; father John L. Dalrymple of Bristol; sisters Cathy (Merle) Meringa of Three Rivers, Julie Lorenz of South Bend and Rachel Kohn of Elkhart; fiancée Brandy Miller of Union; nieces and nephews Ashley (Steve) Williams of Three Rivers, Nathan, Amanda, Philip and Lindsey Lorenz, all of Union, Samantha Stone of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Jared and Lauren Kohn, both of Elkhart; and two great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Michael worked as an assistant with his mother, Connie, at Classic Realty in Union. He was involved in Internet sales and worked as a car salesman for many years in the Elkhart, Sturgis and Dowagiac areas. Michael loved living and being on the water. He had a great sense of humor and a big heart. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mike was a member of the Cass County Conservation Club. He will be greatly missed by his constant companion, Jack, his Australian shepherd.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Immediately following the gathering, all are invited to Zimmy's Tavern, 69608 Sunset Blvd., Union, for sharing memories and stories of Mike. In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in Adamsville Cemetery in Edwardsburg.
