Melinda grew up in Elkhart and was a caregiver by nature. She worked as a candy-striper in high school and went to school for nursing prior to having her children. Her children meant the world to her, and she did everything to make sure they were taken care of. Melinda later went on to cater meals until she met the love of her life, Steven in 2008. Despite Steven's warnings, she became an over the road truck driver. Obtaining her CDL in 2010 was the highlight of her life. She was proud to continue the family legacy as her father was also a truck driver and was able to see almost every state.
Steven and Melinda were married on February 28, 2013. Together they enjoyed going on road trips, especially to Tennessee and loved spending time with each other no matter where they went or what they did together. In her spare time, she was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family but also enjoyed painting and cooking. Melinda was also a proud motorhead and considered herself "Queen Bitch" leaving behind many princesses.
Melinda was the kindest person you'd ever meet as long as you didn't cross her the wrong way. She had a big heart and would do anything to take care of anyone and everyone. Melinda would often stop to help a stranger holding a sign on the side of the road. She will be dearly missed by her loving family, many friends, and all the lives she has touched by her simple acts of kindness and generosity.
