Obituary
She was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Columbus, Ga., to Charles and Winnie (Lindsey) Richards. She married Alvin Rush on June 12, 1976, in Elkhart.
He survives along with three brothers, Albert (Louise) Richards and Oran (Barbara) Richards, both of Elkhart, and Cullen (Helga Maria) Richards of Cassapolis.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Spradlen, and a brother, John Richards.
Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral at 1 p.m. Monday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Captain Steve Woodard of The Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will be at Prairie Street Cemetery.
Mrs. Rush retired after 48 years as a machine operator at CTS. She served as a bell ringer for The Salvation Army and sponsored children through the World Vision Program for more than 50 years.
