ELKHART -- Max G. Ganger, 82, born June 26, 1934 to Homer and Rosa (Graybill) Ganger, died on January 20, 2017 at home with his wife by his side. On August 2, 1953 he married Janice E. Tenney, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Douglas (Christine) Ganger, daughter Terri Ganger, granddaughter, Elise (Brian) Cunningham, grandson Brent (Anna) Ganger, and great-grandchildren; Max Ganger, Jack Ganger, and Libby Cunningham, and a sister, Betsy Davenport. Preceding Max in death were his parents, brothers Chester, Dallas, Verden ("Bud"), and Delbert Ganger, and sisters Wilma Hamilton and Ruby Leer.
Max loved to fish, but his greatest pleasures were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Max attended Concord High School until leaving school to serve in the United States Navy from 1952-1955, serving on the USS General WA Mann TAP122.
A memorial service will be held at Dunlap United Methodist Church on February 4, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Turner presiding. Fellowship time is to follow after the service.
