Matthew "Matt" David James Krauss, 29, of Elkhart unexpectedly passed away in Elkhart. He was born on November 8, 1995, in Elkhart to Angela Krauss and Michael Koppert.

Matt is survived by his children, Khloe Conrad and Joseph Krauss; mother, Angela Krauss; siblings, Ashley (Samuel) Hamilton, Abigail Krauss, and Brody Bertrand; uncle, Jason Krauss; grandmother, Christine Krauss; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Koppert; brother, Joey Krauss; and grandfather, David James Krauss.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart.

To those who truly knew Matt, they knew him as a caring man with a sensitive soul. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Matt loved to watch football and cheer on his favorite team, the Packers. Words cannot express how much Matt will be dearly missed.
