ELKHART — Matthew Gus Fearnow, 34, of Elkhart, passed away early Saturday morning, July 7, 2012, from a motor vehicle accident on Old U.S. 20 in Elkhart.
Gus was born April 21, 1978, to Jack Lee and Linda Kay (Testo) Fearnow in Elkhart.
Surviving are his daughters, Viviana Maxine Comer of Springfield, Mo., and Grace Ann Fearnow of Syracuse; parents Jack L. and Linda Kay Fearnow of Elkhart; grandmother Sonya Fearnow of Elkhart; his sister, Amanda Fearnow of Elkhart; and a nephew, Zachary Fearnow.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Frank and Donna Testo and his paternal grandfather Nun Fearnow Jr.
Gus formerly worked for Forest River. He loved sports, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved to play poker, especially Texas Hold'em at the Eagles in Elkhart, where he was a member.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, July 13, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Graveside services for Gus will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, in Adamsville Cemetery, at the corner of Adamsville Road and May Street in Edwardsburg, Mich.
