MESA, Ariz. — Mason Dale Somerville, 19, of the Chandler/Mesa, Ariz., area, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Maricopa Integrated Health System in Mesa following an auto accident.
He was born May 8, 1994, in Phoenix and was a graduate of Desert Ridge High School in 2012. He was an avid car enthusiast and a devout Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. He will be best remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, outrageous sense of humor and infectious smile.
Surviving are his father, Jay Somerville of Chandler; mother Rachel Landry of Mesa; sisters Courtney Somerville of Mesa and Casee Thatcher of Ridgecrest, Calif.; brothers Luke Landry of Mesa and Nick Lighthiser of Ridgecrest; and his grandmother, Mary Somerville of Goshen, Ind.
Preceding him in death were his grandfather, Marvin Somerville; and great-grandmother Katie James.
Services will be in Gilbert on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Wyman Funeral Home of Mesa is handling the arrangements. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is handling local details.
